The Worlds first family music festival

On a beautiful May evening Groove Gully made its historic debut. Held on the grassy lawns of the beautiful Palms Club, we had an amazing audience of kids, parents and grandparents. We started the evening with a Bamboo windchime making workshop for kids led by Bamboo Mystics. Every lucky child left the workshop with a beautiful windchime made all by themselves. Kids that couldn't join the sold out workshop spent hours enjoying the Jam Zone which had Tabla's, Djembe's, Rainsticks, Shakers, Hang Drums and loads of other instruments just waiting to be played by them. Our expert musicians gently guided all the kids on how to play them leaving them so inspired! Imagine a fun summer music class for kids in the middle of a music festival!

While the Tattoo zone had kids inking themselves the Sunshine Ensemble started their signature brand of West African percussion. It waslovely to see dads, moms and kids all pick up shakers, drums , bongos and sing, dance and play along to the beats. Those made for magical memories and inspirational moments,

To close out the evening the blues rock band NOKnok had the audience on their feet, singing and tapping their feet to their funky grooves. All this time the walls of the venue were lit up with beautiful projection mapping by Tech Quartet.

What an exhilarating evening! The vibe was perfect - with playing instruments to being enthralled by the music - kids and adults alike! Look forward to more of these evenings.
